I'm a visual storyteller, I believe that every story is valuable, and there are so many voices that are never heard. Photography is the tool that I use to connect people to others. Life on life. It's an honor to use a camera as a tool; not only to freeze a moment in time, but to begin a conversation, in that moment, and for years to come. This is why I take photos: to give a voice to the voiceless.
When photographing a wedding, one moment can capture the story of love, commitment and fortitude to continue through difficulties while surrounded by a community that won't let go. Photos captured on my travels can take you somewhere you've never dreamed you could go through the lens of beauty and a perspective unique in the world. The fires of a sunset or intricacies of a flower remind me that every detail matters, including who I am. Let's journey together as we experience life through my lens.

I've traveled to 38 (it's possible I've lost count) countries on 6 continents. Hiked the Inca Trail with 30 pounds of camera gear and thought I was going to die (until I let a Ukrainian man named Sasha carry my bag). I can put together at least one sentence in about 7 languages, but am only a fluent English speaker. I love connecting with people, and networking them together. I thrive on asking questions and hearing stories. I'm guided by my faith and desire to live for something bigger than myself.

It's always a pleasant surprise when someone asks me to be involved in photographing. Wether a wedding, conference, or simply being a part of building family memories. It still shocks me that I can be paid for something I enjoy so fully. I have a need to be creative, and to foster creativity in community to be shared and challenged.

At the end of a wedding, your memories become stories, and the legacy of a photograph will last generations. We forget that, the times we need to remember the most are the most easily forgotten. The majority of our days are not the extravagant travels and celebrations but rather the moments that are ever so fleeting and "normal", let us never forget that as we share our lives with those we love.
